Work Package 2, sets the stage for the E-COOP project by exploring how energy cooperatives can drive energy transition in rural areas. This work package aims to highlight practical examples and inspiring stories to illustrate the pivotal role of energy cooperatives. By examining successful initiatives across Europe, we seek to understand the challenges and opportunities faced by various stakeholders, including public organisations, private businesses, and citizens.
The ultimate goal is to develop a comprehensive VET guide and curriculum that provides the necessary tools and methodologies to create individual participation and commitment to energy transition efforts. This guide will be instrumental in motivating and equipping communities with the knowledge and resources needed to initiate and sustain energy cooperatives, ensuring a smoother and more inclusive transition to sustainable energy practices.
