Meet the Partners Behind ecoop Transition

The e-coop Transition project brings together five organisations from across Europe, each playing an important role in helping rural communities move towards renewable energy. These partners bring different skills, knowledge, and experience to the project, making sure that energy cooperatives are accessible and practical for local communities.

The Slovak University of Agriculture (SUA), based in Nitra, Slovakia, is leading the project. With a strong focus on rural development and education, they provide research and practical advice to help communities set up and manage energy cooperatives. Their expertise ensures that the project is built on real knowledge and tested ideas.

From Italy, Meridaunia works to support rural areas, helping to create new jobs and businesses. They have a deep understanding of what smaller communities need to grow and improve, making them a key part of the e-coop team. Their experience shows how local people can take charge of their own energy needs in a way that benefits both the economy and the environment.

Momentum Educate & Innovate, an Irish training organisation, specialises in education programmes that help communities develop new skills. They lead e-coop’s learning and communication efforts, making sure that the tools and resources created are easy to use and widely available. Their work helps ensure that people understand how energy cooperatives work and how they can get involved.

Consorci de la Ribera, based in Spain, connects local councils and community groups to encourage sustainable development. Their experience in working with different organisations helps turn ideas into real projects that benefit the environment and local economies.

Finally, Verein der Akademie für Bildung, Kultur, Kunst, Jugend und Sport (VABCKJS) from Austria focuses on education and training. They create courses and workshops that give people the knowledge they need to take part in energy cooperatives and make their communities stronger and more sustainable.

By working together, these five partners are helping rural communities across Europe take control of their energy future. Through shared knowledge and teamwork, e-coop Transition is making sustainable energy solutions more achievable for everyone. Stay tuned for updates on the exciting work they are doing!
