In November 2024, the Ecoop Transition project came full circle as partners gathered for the final Transnational Partner Meeting (TPM) in Austria. Hosted by VABCKJS, this meeting was an important moment to reflect on the project’s journey, celebrate our achievements, and ensure a strong legacy for the work we have done together.
With the project reaching its conclusion, discussions focused on finalising key outputs, including the educational resources, case study compendium, and guides for setting up energy cooperatives. We reviewed the impact of our work, looking at how communities across Europe can use these resources to take real action in their own energy transitions.
Another major focus was dissemination—how to ensure that the project’s outcomes reach as many communities, policymakers, and organisations as possible. Each partner shared their plans for continuing to promote Ecoop’s resources beyond the official end of the project, making sure that the work we’ve done continues to benefit rural communities long into the future.
Although this was the last official meeting, it was clear that the partnerships built through Ecoop Transition would not end here. The strong collaboration, shared learning, and commitment to supporting energy cooperatives will carry forward as we each continue working in our respective regions.
Leaving Austria, we felt a deep sense of accomplishment. Over the course of the project, we’ve seen how rural communities can take control of their energy future—and we’re proud to have played a part in making that happen. Ecoop Transition may be concluding, but its impact is just beginning.
